Can Djokovic Make it 25 Grand Slams?

Sinner is hoping to successfully defend his crown on Australian ground in 2025. The young Italian won the tournament last year, beating Daniil Medvedev in the final. He also won the US Open and reached the French Open semi-finals in a remarkable 2024.

Sinner heads Down Under as the favourite to win the men’s edition, but the 23-year-old will face stiff opposition. The champion is priced at 2.35, while both Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are available at 4.40.

Alcaraz burst onto the scene with his US Open win in 2022, and he won the French Open and Wimbledon last year. However, he has failed to get past the quarter-final stage in Australia.

Djokovic is the record winner of the Australian Open, lifting the trophy an incredible ten times. The sensational Serb has won 24 Grand Slams during his illustrious career, and he could secure a 25th in January. Djokovic is our pick to win the men’s edition at 4.40.

Will Sabalenka Retain in Melbourne?

The women’s Australian Open winner betting is wide open. Reigning champion Sabalenka is the current favourite at 3.20, with Iga Swiatek available at 4.50 and Coco Gauff priced at 5.00.

Sabalenka was superb at Melbourne Park last year, beating Zheng Qinwen in straight sets in the 2024 final. The Belarusian is hungry for more success after two Grand Slam wins last term, and she could be the woman to beat in Victoria.

Swiatek had a strong 2024, winning the French Open and getting a medal in the Olympic Games. However, she was disappointing in Melbourne last year, suffering a surprise third-round loss to Linda Noskova.

Gauff stunned the tennis world by winning the US Open as a teenager in 2023, and the 20-year-old reached the semi-final in Victoria last year. She could be one to watch out for, but winning the Aussie Open this year could be a step too far for the young American.

Sabalenka’s career took time to take off, but she showed what she is capable of last year with two Grand Slam victories. We are backing the current world No. 1 to retain her Australian Open crown.
