Fight Preview

The first Zuffa Boxing event, promoted by Dana White under TKO, promises to be special, with two boxing juggernauts going head-to-head in Vegas.

With the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO, The Ring, and the TBRB undisputed super middleweight titles on the line, there is a lot at stake at Allegiant Stadium. Both fighters will back themselves to leave Vegas with the belts.

Alvarez has won a staggering 63 of his 67 professional fights, losing just twice during his illustrious two-decade boxing career. It all started with a TKO victory over Abraham Gonzalez in Mexico way back in 2005.

Since losing to Dmitry Bivol in 2022 in his 61st pro fight, Canelo has bounced back with six wins. Last May, the Mexican beat William Scull by unanimous decision in Riyadh to retain the belts.

Crawford has had fewer fights, but the American’s professional record is arguably even more impressive. The 37-year-old has won all 41 of his professional bouts, dating back to 2008.

Crawford is a ring general, with 31 of his 41 wins coming via knockout. However, he won by unanimous decision in his last fight against Israel Madrimov in August 2024.

Despite going into Saturday night’s main event as the undefeated fighter, Crawford is considered the underdog. According to the pre-fight betting market, the Nebraska-born brawler is available at 2.44 to win.

Canelo heads to Las Vegas as the bookies’ favourite, and he will fancy his chances of securing his 40th knockout victory (4.50). You can get 1.55 for the Mexican to win the bout via any method.

Fight to Go the Distance?

With Canelo 35 and Crawford almost 38, both will want to get the job done early. However, we could see these two outstanding performers go the distance in the “Entertainment Capital of the World”.

Picking a winner between these two is not an easy task, but Canelo could just have the edge. Our money is going on “Cinnamon” Canelo to win on points (2.25). Also, back the fight to go the distance at 1.27.

These two are ready to put on a show for the thousands in attendance and millions watching at home, and the bout, billed as “Once In A Lifetime” and “There Can Only Be One”, promises to live up to the mega hype.
