Daniel Berger – 20.00
Bet on the Charles Schwab ChallengeThe Tournament Contenders
Looking at the outright betting, Scottie Scheffler is the overwhelming favourite to win the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge. After a slow start to the season, the world No. 1 has found his feet.
Scheffler has won two of the last four PGA Tour tournaments, winning the CJ Cup Byron Nelson before getting his hands on the PGA Championship trophy. Last week, the 28-year-old shot 11-under 273 to secure a third major championship of his glittering career.
Scheffler is well ahead of his rivals in the betting to win this tournament in Fort Worth. The PGA Championship winner is priced at just 3.50 to secure the trophy at Colonial.
Tommy Fleetwood, Jordan Spieth, and Daniel Berger are available at 20.00, while Hideki Matsuyama is priced at 22.00. Those are huge odds for so-called favourites.
Riley won the 2024 event, beating Scheffler and Keegan Bradley by 5 strokes. The victory followed his first PGA Tour success at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2023. However, Riley is a huge outsider this year, priced at 45.00 to retain his crown.
Can Anyone Stop In-Form Scheffler?
All eyes will be on the world No. 1 this weekend. By his extremely high standards, Scheffler made a sluggish start to the year, but the New Jersey-born ace has found form at just the right time.
There is not much value in 3.50, but we cannot see anyone stopping Scheffler in Texas. Our money is going on the world’s best golfer to secure back-to-back PGA Tour wins.
If Scheffler does have an off day at Colonial Country Club, several stars will be ready to pounce. Berger won the Charles Schwab Challenge in 2020, edging out Colin Morikawa in a thrilling playoff.
The 32-year-old has picked up four PGA Tour wins and is a capable player on his day. Berger is the joint second favourite in Texas, with odds of 20.00 holding excellent value.
It may be a long shot, but why not take a punt on Berger to secure his second Charles Schwab trophy this weekend?
