Scheffler, the world No. 1, is the man to beat at TPC Southwind. The 2025 Open Championship winner heads to Tennessee as the clear favourite, priced at 3.80 to get his hands on the trophy.
Scheffler made a slow start to the season, not winning in 2025 until the CJ Cup Byron Nelson at the beginning of May. However, he has been in red-hot form since, picking up the PGA Championship, Memorial Tournament, and the Open.
Scheffler’s main rival this weekend could be Xander Schauffele. The 31-year-old has yet to win on the PGA Tour this season, but Schauffele has been tipped to have a solid tournament in Tennessee.
Schauffele’s last two victories were the PGA Championship and the Open Championship in 2024. The Californian knows how to win the big events, but can he come out on top in the play-off opener? Schauffele is available at 15.00 this weekend.
Next on the list are Tommy Fleetwood and Russell Henley at 20.00. Both players are more than capable of going far in Memphis.
Fleetwood is gunning for his first PGA victory since last year’s Dubai Invitational, while Henley ended a three-year wait for a notable tournament triumph in March, winning the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Justin Thomas is the fourth favourite at 22.00. Thomas has won 16 tournaments on the PGA Tour over the past decade, most recently the RBC Heritage.
A whole pack of players are available at 25.00 before a ball has been struck at TPC Southwind. Ludvig Aberg, Patrick Cantlay, Hideki Matsuyama, and Matt Fitzpatrick cannot be separated in the betting.
Elsewhere, you can get 31.00 for Aaron Rai, while the likes of Sepp Straka, Sam Burns, and Keegan Bradley are priced slightly longer at 33.00.
No Stopping Scottie at Southwind
Last year’s St. Jude Championship was memorable. Japanese ace Matsuyama won the event, finishing 2 strokes ahead of Viktor Hovland and Schauffele.
Schauffele pushed Matsuyama close last year, and the San Diego-born star could have another strong tournament in Memphis. However, we cannot see anyone stopping the world No. 1 from winning his first St. Jude Championship.
Scheffler effortlessly won the Open last month, and the best player in the world has slowly but surely grown into the 2025 season. Even at 3.80, Scheffler is the man to bet on this weekend.
Scheffler may be the red-hot favourite to win, but the battle for the top five should be interesting and exciting. Cantlay, who lost in a play-off at TPC Southwind in 2023, is available at 7.00 for a top-five finish this year.
