Our French Open Prediction Sees Djokovic Ease into Round Four
The French Open action continues on Saturday with several intriguing matches scheduled to take place at Roland Garros. Alexander Zverev faces Flavio Cobolli, and Novak Djokovic goes up against Filip Misolic. Also, Coco Gauff plays Marie Bouzkova in the women’s section.
French Open Betting Picks
Alexander Zverev to Win 3-1 – 3.35
Novak Djokovic to Win -2.5 – 1.52
Coco Gauff to Win -1.5 – 1.49
Last Year’s Runner-Up to Progress
Zverev continues his French Open campaign with a third-round matchup against Cobolli. As expected, the German is the strong favourite to see off the Italian and book his place in the next round.
Zverev beat Learner Tien in the first round before a 3-1 victory over Jesper de Jong last time out. Cobolli picked up an impressive straight-set victory over Marin Cilic in his opening game and beat compatriot Matteo Arnaldi in round three.
Zverev reached the final in Paris last year, losing out to Carlos Alcaraz. The German was also runner-up in Australia at the start of 2025 – can he go one better and win his first major?
Cobolli has done well to get this far, but Zverev will surely be too hot to handle in this third-round match. Zverev to win 3-1 stands out at 3.35.
Alexander Zverev to Win 3-1 – 3.35
Bet on Alexander Zverev vs Flavio CobolliDjokovic to Cruise Through
Djokovic faces Misolic this weekend in third-round action. The superb Serb is looking for a 25th Grand Slam victory, and he should cruise into the fourth round in Paris.
Djokovic somewhat went under the radar before a ball was hit in the French capital, but the 38-year-old has made light work of his two opponents so far. He has claimed back-to-back straight-set victories over Mackenzie McDonald and Corentin Moutet.
Djokovic has won three French Opens during his illustrious 22-year playing career, most recently in 2023. A knee injury stopped him at the quarter-final stage last year, but the veteran is fit and firing on all cylinders right now.
Misolic has seen off Bu Yunchaokete and Denis Shapovalov to set up this third-round match, but Djokovic is the heavy favourite. Back the record Grand Slam winner to win -2 this weekend (1.52).
Novak Djokovic to Win -2.5 – 1.52
Bet on Novak Djokovic vs Filip MisolicComfortable Victory for Coco
Gauff is looking to book her spot in round four with little issues when she faces Bouzkova this weekend. Both players have secured two straight-set victories at Roland Garros.
Bouzkova has beaten Anna Kalinskaya and Sonay Kartal, while Gauff has eased past Olivia Gadecki and Tereza Valentova. The Czech has played well up to now, but Gauff will be a tough nut to crack.
The young American burst onto the scene when she reached the French Open final as a teenager in 2022 before winning the US Open the following year. Gauff is looking to go far again in Paris, and she should bulldoze past Bouzkova. Our money is on Gauff to win -1.5 at 1.49.
Coco Gauff to Win -1.5 – 1.49
Bet on Marie Bouzkova vs Coco Gauff
