Real to Rack Up Another Three Points

Real Madrid have made a superb start to their season, winning five games in a row in La Liga. Xabi Alonso’s troops will be looking for another three points when they travel to Levante in midweek.

It has been a tough start for last season’s second-tier champions, but the club from Valencia picked up their first league win last weekend. Julian Calero’s boys ran riot at Girona, running out emphatic 4-0 winners.  

Real Madrid beat Espanyol 2-0 at home last time out, their sixth straight league and cup victory under Alonso. The Madrid giants are top of La Liga, two points above rivals Barcelona.

Los Blancos are looking to keep their momentum ticking, and the leaders should leave the Estadio Ciutat de Valencia with all three points. Check out 1.87 for Real to be winning at half time and full time.

In-form Barcelona head to Asturias this week to play newly promoted Real Oviedo. Barca have dropped just two points and picked up five wins from their opening six league and cup matches this term.

Life in La Liga has been tough going for Oviedo, with the Blues losing four of their first five top-flight fixtures. They have scored just one goal and shipped eight, but Oviedo hover above the relegation zone on three points.

Blaugrana are in red-hot form in La Liga, collecting 13 points from a possible 15. Only leaders Real Madrid boast a better record after five games. Hansi Flick’s men also won at Newcastle United in their UEFA Champions League opener.

Having eased to a 3-0 home victory over Getafe last time out, we fancy Barca to keep another clean sheet on Thursday. Back the visitors to win to nil at 2.20.

Gunners to See Off Vale and Progress

In the EFL Cup in midweek, EFL League One side Port Vale welcome Premier League giants Arsenal to Vale Park. The hosts are 19^th in the third tier, while the Gunners sit second in the EPL.

Darren Moore’s Port Vale have had a tough time in League One this season, though they have secured back-to-back wins over Exeter City and Mansfield Town. The Valiants have also seen off Blackpool and Birmingham City in the EFL Cup.

Arsenal drew at home with Manchester City at the weekend, scoring late to rescue a point. Mikel Arteta’s troops have made a solid start overall, winning four of their opening six in all competitions.

Port Vale can be tricky customers on their own patch, but Arsenal’s qualities should shine through. There is good value in 1.80 for the away team to win both halves.
