The semifinals of the 2024 NBA Cup take place this weekend in Las Vegas. Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks lock horns in the first semi, followed by Oklahoma City Thunder vs Houston Rockets. The winners will contest next week’s Championship Game at T-Mobile Arena.

Hawks to See Off Bucks in Vegas

Semifinal one of the 2024 NBA Cup sees the Bucks and Hawks go head-to-head in Nevada. Milwaukee beat Orlando Magic away from home to reach the last four, while Atlanta stunned New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in their quarterfinal.  

The all-time record between these two is extremely close, making them tough to split on paper. Hawks won the most recent meeting earlier this month, but this weekend’s NBA Cup clash on neutral ground could be a tight contest.

Despite the impressive win in New York City in midweek, the Hawks are the slight underdogs in Vegas. Still, our money is on the Atlanta win at the solid betting price of 33/25.

Thunder to Edge Tight Semifinal Against Rockets

In game two, Thunder and Rockets square off for a place in the 2024 NBA Cup Championship Game. Oklahoma and Houston are the top two in the Western Conference, so this promises to be a captivating semifinal in T-Mobile Arena.

Both teams have won their home fixture against the other this season. Thunder secured a 126-107 victory at Paycom Center, while the Rockets ran out 119-116 winners in the game at Toyota Center at the start of December.

This is certainly the standout semifinal, as both in-form teams are capable of beating the other. However, Thunder are the favourites, and we fancy Mark Daigneault’s side to nick the win. The Oklahoma City victory is priced at 47/100.
