The Tournament Contenders

Patton Kizzire won the 2024 edition, scoring 268 to finish an impressive 5 strokes clear of runner-up David Lipsky.

Scottie Scheffler will take part in this weekend’s Procore Championship, and the world No. 1 is the strong favourite to add another PGA trophy to his glittering cabinet.

Scheffler’s first triumph of 2025 was the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in May. A couple of weeks later, he won the PGA Championship in North Carolina. The 29-year-old has maintained his form with wins at the Memorial Tournament, Open Championship, and BMW Championship.

Scheffler will have one eye on the Ryder Cup, but the world’s best golfer would love to win in Napa this weekend. He is the man to beat at 3.20.

With world No. 2 Rory McIlroy sitting this one out, there is a big gap in the betting market between Scheffler and the second favourite. Next on the list is Russell Henley at 12.00.

Although Henley is more than capable of winning PGA Tour events, the 36-year-old will have to go some to topple Scheffler in the Golden State. Henley’s only victory in 2025 was the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.

Sam Burns, Justin Thomas, and Patrick Cantlay are tough to split in the betting, all priced at 15.00. Burns has not won on the PGA Tour since his WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play success in 2023.

Thomas won the RBC Heritage in April, his first PGA Tour victory in three years. As for Cantlay, he has won eight events on the PGA Tour, with his most recent victory coming in the 2022 BMW Championship.

Colin Morikawa is available at 18.00, while Cameron Young is priced at 20.00. Also, you can get 22.00 for Ben Griffin and Maverick McNealy to prevail at Silverado.

Scheffler Unstoppable in Napa

All eyes will be on the world No. 1 in Napa. Scheffler is looking for his best form ahead of the Ryder Cup, and we cannot see anyone standing in his way this weekend. Scheffler is our pick to prevail at 3.20.

Max Homa has an excellent record in this competition, winning in 2021 and 2022. However, he has gone on to win just one more PGA Tournament since his 2022 victory in Napa.

Homa has been on a substantial slump since last year’s Masters, but he remains a capable player on his day.

The two-time Procore Championship winner is hoping for a strong tournament in his home state, and Homa is nicely priced at 50.00 to secure a shock win.
