Talks Are Ongoing For The Gentlemen S2
Guy Ritchie released The Gentlemen on Netflix earlier this year, a spin-off of his film in 2019 with the same name. It’s fair to say it went down a treat with viewers, and lead actor Ray Winstone reveals that talks are underway for a new season of the show;
Ray Winstone: “There’s talk about it, but I haven’t been approached to do a number two and I’m not sure if anyone else has yet. They are talking about it though, I know that’s happening but I don’t have any idea.
“I think it’s probably down to Guy (Ritchie). Guy’s got a lot of irons in the fire, he’s a busy boy and if he wants to do it, he’ll do it. Then again, you’ve got to get the cast together as well. If they’re doing anything else, you’ve got to wait for them. We’ll see, I hope they do another as I really enjoyed doing it.”
Potential Next James Bond Theo James Has Brilliant Work Ethic
Theo James has been touted as the next potential James Bond. Winstone worked alongside James in The Gentlemen, and says that he has a ‘brilliant’ work ethic which will see him go far in the industry.
RW: “I’ll be James Bond before Theo! No, but young ones like Theo, they’re pros, they know their stuff, they’ve been around, these kids. And there’s a lot more of them these days so they’ve got to be good because if they’re not then someone else is going to take their place.
“So they’re really on the ball. Their work ethic is probably 100 times more than mine was when I started, because we didn’t have competition. You just turn up and do your stuff, then learn on the job.
“Today they know their stuff and hit the ground running. Young ones are great to work alongside – they have brilliant work ethic – 100 times better than mine as there wasn’t the same competition.”
