In the men’s section, Jannik Sinner heads to New York City as the favourite to win the 2025 US Open. The current world No. 1 is in great form and could be the man to beat in the Big Apple.

The 24-year-old Italian is having an exceptional year, winning the Australian Open and Wimbledon. After turning professional in 2018, Sinner has won four Grand Slams, all coming since 2024.

Sinner’s closest challenger in the United States could be Carlos Alcaraz. The pair locked horns in a thrilling Wimbledon final just last month, with Sinner winning in four sets.

Alcaraz has had his injury issues this term, but the Spaniard is at the top of his game heading into this Grand Slam event. Alcaraz won the French Open in June and has won five of six Grand Slam finals. He is available at 2.50 to prevail in New York.

The women’s edition will also be thrilling, with a host of top players gunning for the championship trophy. There is not much to split Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff in the betting.

Sabalenka is the slight favourite, priced at just 3.30. The Belarusian won last year’s US Open, which was her last Grand Slam victory.

Swiatek, available at 4.00, will be many people’s favourite in the States. The world No. 2 won Wimbledon last month and picked up the US Open crown in 2022.

Gauff is the home hero, and the American would love to win the US Open in front of an expectant New York crowd. The 21-year-old burst onto the scene with her memorable US Open victory in 2023. The French Open champion is available at 6.00 to win her third major.

Sinner has played some scintillating stuff this season, and the Italian ace will take some stopping in this year’s US Open. If he is at his best in New York, we fancy Sinner to go all the way. He is our pick to win the 2025 men’s edition (2.00).

The women’s section is even more wide open, as the top three in the world battle for supremacy as we reach the latter stage of the 2025 season.
