The first semi sees rivals Djokovic and Alcaraz battle for a place in Sunday’s showpiece final in New York. The pair may be at opposite ends of their careers, but both players will fancy their chances of progressing.
Djokovic beat Learner Tien, Zachary Svajda, Cameron Norrie, and Jan-Lennard Struff in the early rounds. In the quarter-finals, the 24-time Grand Slam champion saw off home hero Taylor Fritz by three sets to one.
Alcaraz has impressed in the United States, beating Reilly Opelka, Mattia Bellucci, Luciano Darderi, and Arthur Rinderkneck to set up a quarter-final clash with Jiri Lehecka. The world No. 2 made light work of the Czech, securing a straight-set victory.
Alcaraz has yet to drop a set in the Big Apple as he looks to reach a first US Open final since winning the tournament in 2022.
Players do not come more experienced than Djokovic, but the 38-year-old could succumb to the Spaniard’s relentlessness in this semi-final. There is good value in 3.55 for the 3-1 Alcaraz win.
Carlos Alcaraz to Win 3-1 – 3.55
Bet on Djokovic vs AlcarazSinner to Sail Through to Another Major Final
Sinner has been the championship favourite ever since the first ball was struck in anger in New York City, and the Italian should book his place in another major final this weekend.
Sinner has had a sensational 2025 season, winning the Australian Open and Wimbledon. He is also the reigning US Open champion, defeating Fritz in last year’s final.
Sinner has bulldozed his way to the last four, beating the likes of Vit Kopriva and Denis Shapovalov in the early stages. The world No. 1 then sealed a 3-0 win over Lorenzo Musetti in the quarter-finals.
Auger-Aliassime has had a fine tournament in the States, seeing off Alex de Minaur in the quarters to earn this match against the defending champion. This will be the Canadian’s second semi-final at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Auger-Aliassime had done well to get this far, but getting the better of the reigning US Open champion will take some doing. Unfortunately for the 25-year-old, we can see his Grand Slam dreams coming to an end in this one.
Sinner is the overwhelming favourite, so backing the No. 1 seed to win by a margin is the way forward here. Our money is going on the Italian to win -2.5 at 1.48.
Jannik Sinner to Win -2.5 – 1.48
