In-form Rory McIlroy is the pre-tournament favourite at 5.00. The Northern Ireland ace is having a sensational 2025, winning the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Players Championship, and the Masters Tournament.
McIlroy has been the Canadian Open champion before, beating Shane Lowry and Webb Simpson by 7 strokes to secure the trophy in 2019. The world No. 2 could be the man to beat this year.
Ludvig Aberg has also been tipped to go far in Ontario. The Swedish star is more than capable of winning big tournaments, and he is looking to build on February’s Genesis Invitational success. The Swede is available at 11.00.
Ricky Castillo is also priced at 11.00 to come out on top in Canada. Having turned pro just three years ago, Castillo is certainly lacking in the experience department, but the 23-year-old is not far from a maiden PGA Tour win. Could it come this weekend in Canada?
Corey Conners is priced at 17.00, Shane Lowry is available at 19.00, and you can get 21.00 for Pendrith Taylor. Apart from McIlroy, the betting for this year’s Canadian Open is wide open.
This is always an exciting tournament, and the 2025 version will no doubt live up to the billing. Can McIlroy be stopped, or will the 36-year-old secure a 30th PGA Tour victory?
McIlroy to Claim Milestone Victory
McIlroy is in great form, playing some excellent stuff as he looks to reclaim the No. 1 ranking spot. Having already secured three PGA Tour wins this season, McIlroy is looking for his 30th tournament success this weekend.
The Masters winner is the 5.00 favourite for a reason, and we are backing McIlroy to come out on top at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley.
Several outsiders will fancy their chances of securing a top-five finish in Ontario. MacIntyre had an impressive 2024 tournament, finishing with a 264 score to win only his second PGA Tour crown. The reigning champion could be one to watch this year.
In terms of value, odds of 11.00 for Ryan Fox to finish in the top five stand out. Fox won his first PGA Tour tournament just last month, winning the Oneflight Myrtle Beach Classic in South Carolina.
The New Zealander, who has been a pro for 13 years, will be hungry for more success. Winning the Canadian Open may be a step too far, but we are backing Fox to secure a top-five finish at 11.00.
