Tony Bellew Exclusive Interview: Joshua Will Destroy Dubois Inside Two Rounds

In an exclusive interview with Lucky Block Sports, Tony Bellew predicted that Anthony Joshua will annihilate Daniel Dubois if the two British heavyweights fight at Wembley in September…
- Joshua will knock Dubois out in two rounds
- I’ve lost friends from labeling fighters as quitters
- Dubois would beat anyone outside of Joshua, Fury and Usyk
Anthony Joshua Will Obliterate DDD On One Condition
It has been widely speculated that Daniel Dubois could be Anthony Joshua’s next opponent following his impressive stoppage of Filip Hrgovic. Tony Bellew sees Joshua beating Dubois rapidly, as long as he goes into the bout with the same attitude that saw him blitz Francis Ngannou in March;
Tony Bellew: “Did you see the right hands Hrgovic threw? You’ll get away with two of them with Anthony Joshua. AJ is technically better than him. He’s more fluid than him. He’s quicker than him. He hits harder than him. Everything that Daniel Dubois is good at, AJ is a bit better at. And he also has a defence. As long as Joshua goes in with the same attitude he went in with against Francis Ngannou, it’s over in two rounds. I don’t see any other outcome.”
Dubois Will Dominate Heavyweights Once Big Three Quit
Bellew labeled Dubois a quitter after he took a knee against Joe Joyce but after his redemption against Hrgovic he sees a bright future for ‘Dynamite’, who could be set to rule the heavyweight division once the landscape changes;
Tony Bellew: “We’ve seen Dubois’ temperament tested a couple of times and I thought it’s only a matter of time until this comes back to haunt him. But against Hrgovic he just bit down on the gum shield. I will never question Daniel Dubois’ resilience and mental fortitude again. I won’t question it and I think Daniel Dubois will beat anyone outside of Fury, AJ and Usyk. I won’t doubt him again unless he’s against them three.”
Tony Bellew: I’ve Lost Friends Over Quitter Accusations
Boxers are expected to go out on their shields but Dubois was forced to face accusations of ‘spewing it’ after his defeats to Joyce and Oleksandr Usyk. Bellew isn’t one to mince his words and he says speaking his mind has even led to people refusing to speak to him;
Tony Bellew: “We’ve seen the Joe Joyce fight. No one’s stupid. He [Dubois] takes a knee and he doesn’t continue. And that is a trait in boxing that when that is shown, you never really come back from it. It’s harsh but it’s a fact. ‘Once a quitter, always a quitter.’ I’ve witnessed it with fighters time and time again. I’ve stopped speaking to people. I’ve lost friendships over it because I’ve called fighters what I’ve seen. A fractured eye socket is a painful thing. Broken ribs are painful. Broken noses and jaws are painful. But fighters have had fractures and continued.”
