Champion to Move Step Closer to Retaining Crown

On Friday morning in the English capital, Fritz and Alcaraz battle in a tasty Wimbledon semi-final. The Spaniard is looking to retain his crown, while the American seeks a first Grand Slam victory.

Fritz has come on strong over the past couple of years, reaching the US Open final in 2024. This is the furthest the Californian has gone on English soil, but getting the better of the champion will take some doing.

Fritz beat Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Gabriel Diallo, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and Jordan Thompson in the early rounds. The 27-year-old then saw off Karen Khachanov in the quarter-finals.

Alcaraz has won the last two Wimbledon Championships and looks like a good bet to make it three in a row in 2025. The superb Spaniard eased past the likes of Oliver Tarvet and Andrey Rublev to book his spot in another major semi-final.

Alcaraz was too hot to handle for Cameron Norrie in the last eight. The home favourite huffed and puffed, but the reigning champion eased to a 3-0 win.

Fritz has had a memorable time in London, but we can see his 2025 Wimbledon journey coming to an end on Friday. Check out the tempting odds of 3.30 for Alcaraz to win by three sets to one.

Italian to Book Spot in First Wimbledon Final

The other men’s semi-final sees Sinner and Djokovic go head-to-head for a place in this weekend’s showpiece final at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

The Italian heads into this semi as the bookies’ favourite, priced at 1.45. Sinner is the current world No. 1 and has already won the Australian Open this year. However, he has never competed in a Wimbledon final.

Djokovic is gunning for a 25th major, but getting the better of in-form Sinner will be a tough task. The sensational Serb has won the Wimbledon crown on seven occasions, though his last success came in 2022.

Djokovic, who turned 38 in May, has rolled back the years with several battling performances in England. He dropped just two sets in the tournament before beating Flavio Cobolli in four sets in the quarter-finals.

Djokovic would love to add an eighth Wimbledon trophy to his glittering cabinet, but the world No. 1 could be a step ahead in this semi. Take a punt on Sinner to win -1.5 at the tempting betting odds of 1.86.
